Whether you are a petrol head, speed lover or just someone who just loves a good time – you will leave satisfied and enthralled at the spectacle.

The race is generally considered the South African equivalent of the renowned Goodwood Festival of Speed which is held annually in the UK.

The list of beautiful cars that have participated in the past include classics such as the Porsche 956, Porsche 917 and a 1961 LDS Formula 1; to more modern machinery including a variety of Ferrraris, the new McLaren MP4-12C and 650s, Lamborghini Gallardo and Aventador, Porsche GT3RS, Nissan GTRS, Jaguar XKRs Coupe and F-Type, and an Ariel Atom.

The 2014 Hillclimb saw 11 222 people attending - including South African sporting heroes John Smith, Eben Etsebeth, Butch James and media celebrities Ciro De Siena and Nicole da Silva.

The 2015 Simola Hillclimb will run over three days and will include the following elements:

The Classic Car Friday opens proceedings and caters exclusively for historic, classic and vintage cars from pre-war to 1980. Drivers, friends and spectators are encouraged to attend in period dress.

The Town Parade sees King of the Hill Shootout Challenge cars, local classic car clubs and visiting exotic machinery drive through Knysna town. Integrated into the parade is the Public Car Display. The cars start assembling from  9am on Friday morning for scrutineering.

The King of the Hill Shootout happens on the Saturday and Sunday and is where the country's fastest machinery compete out on the hill.

Entry is limited and regulated to ensure that fans will witness some of the country's meanest, sleekest, prettiest and most spectacular cars taking to the track.
